Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Indianapolis is seeking an Installation Technician to diagnose, install, and service sliding, swinging, and rotating pedestrian doors at customer sites. You will follow manufacturers' procedures, document site conditions, and prioritize safety and customer satisfaction.

Requirements include 3-5 years in door installation, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to obtain AAADM certification within the first year.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in storefront door installation or related field.
• Mechanical aptitude with repairing electro-mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring.
• Must be able to obtain AAADM certification within 6-12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation according to manufacturers' procedures and specs.
• Document time, issues, shortages, and site conditions with proper records.
• Work safely; use PPE and protect customers, employees, and property.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical door systems.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors.
• Participate in training and on-call rotations after certification.
