Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions in the Nashville area is seeking an Installation Technician to deliver, diagnose, repair, and upgrade a range of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors. You will ensure customer satisfaction while following manufacturer procedures and safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of door installation experience, the ability to obtain AAADM certification within six months, and a solid mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Direct experience installing storefront, automatic, or pedestrian doors is required.
• AAADM certification must be obtained within six months of employment and maintained.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to repair electro‑mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage wiring is preferred (120V).
• Experience with glazing, aluminum frames, and hardware is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation following manufacturers’ procedures.
• Document time, issues, shortages, and conditions at the job site.
• Work safely to prevent accidents for yourself and others on site.
• Wear PPE as required and maintain equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance, break‑fix repairs, and upgrades of automated doors.
• Diagnose issues with electro‑mechanical devices and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and wiring.
• Communicate professionally with customers and contractors.
• Participate in training programs and on‑call rotations after certification.
• Lift and install door components up to 110 pounds as needed.
