Job summary

DARCARS Lanham Ford is seeking an Automotive Sales Manager to lead the New & Used Sales Department. This role plans, organizes, and controls sales operations to meet department targets and improve performance across the team.

You will forecast goals, hire and develop sales staff, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Automotive sales experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years of sales management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of new and used sales employees.
• Direct salespeople to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership image.
• Maintain accurate sales records daily and monthly.
• Coordinate the function of the salespeople with the Service Dept., Parts Dept., and business office.
• Develop advertising campaigns and other promotions.
• Follow manufacturer's training for self and salespeople.
