Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role involves leading a team, ensuring staffing during peak hours, and coaching staff to deliver outstanding service to retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and execute customer service programs.
• Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in coaching and mentoring team members and recruiting qualified staff.
• Assist in the hiring process by recruiting and interviewing candidates.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Manage buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued correctly.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before shipment.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure staff comply with posted work schedule and proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing tasks and secure money and deposits.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, and vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
