Genuine Parts Company in Freeport, IL, is seeking a Store Pro to provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers while delivering a consistently positive customer experience. You will use product knowledge to assist customers, support the team, and operate POS and catalog tools in a fast-paced store.

The role emphasizes driving loyalty, assisting with deliveries, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems.
• Preferred: experience in automotive, retail, or parts environment.
• Preferred: hands-on vehicle repair or maintenance experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of inventory or cataloging systems.
• Preferred: ASE Certification (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers.
• Deliver a consistently positive and engaging customer experience.
• Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and support team members.
• Operate POS, inventory/catalog tools, and communication devices.
• Maintain high energy and customer focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Support store operations including transactions, inquiries, and workflow.
• Build relationships with customers to drive loyalty.
• Coordinate and dispatch deliveries and support logistics and fulfillment operations.
• Perform housekeeping and organize workspace to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with inventory control activities and cycle counts.
