Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Ohio is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will also assume shift management in the absence of managers and encourages bilingual candidates to apply.

The position emphasizes leading by example in customer service, managing showrooms, and ensuring accurate invoicing, returns, and timely processing of orders and transfers.

Qualifications

• Required: Strong communication skills
• Required: Ability to obtain RSS Certification
• Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Desired: Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• Desired: ASE Certification
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure adherence to service programs.
• Answer phones according to policy and manage inquiries.
• Process transfers, orders, and shipments and notify customers on arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases per procedures and ledger.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and manage returns correctly.
• Communicate Zipline messages and manage merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Oversee opening/closing duties and secure money and premises.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
