Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management in their absence and encourages bilingual candidates to apply.

The position emphasizes leading teams, ensuring phone and service standards, and handling in-store processes from orders to returns in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Answer telephone according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders; notify customers of shipments.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges with correct refunds and repackage merchandise as needed.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and assign Image Maker and merchandising tasks as needed.
• Ensure team adherence to posted schedules; approve deviations; track clock-ins/outs.
• Perform opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, deposits, bank preparations, and security checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
