Job summary

Genuine Parts Company, operating as NAPA, seeks a Counter Sales associate to be the face of our retail store, helping customers with auto parts questions in-person and over the phone. You will support team members, ensure a positive shopping experience, and maintain high energy in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a background in automotive parts and strong communication skills, with a valid driver's license and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn all things auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Love fast paced retail environments
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter/over the phone.
• Assist other NAPA team members with customer questions using parts knowledge.
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the store.
• Bring customer focus and high energy to fast-paced stores.
• Greet customers and engage to provide a positive shopping experience.
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
