Professional Financial Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Auto Loan Collections Specialist. You will manage delinquent auto-loan accounts, contact customers to resolve issues, and negotiate payment plans to protect customer relationships and company interests.

This full-time, onsite role requires strong communication and negotiation skills. You will handle high-volume communications, document all interactions, and collaborate with branches and departments to determine feasible resolutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of collections experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume account queue with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion.
• Comfort using account-management and communication systems.
• Ability to work effectively with branch management, internal departments, dealers, and other partners.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance with reliable transportation for local visits.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage delinquent auto-loan accounts through all stages, from one day past due through repossession referral and support.
• Make high-volume inbound and outbound contacts to understand delinquency causes and identify solutions.
• Negotiate payment arrangements within guidelines and monitor promises to pay.
• Document customer contacts, changes, and repossession recommendations accurately and timely.
• Use skip-tracing and account-research methods to locate customers and update contact information.
• Answer questions and resolve routine concerns; escalate sensitive matters as needed.
• Identify accounts for repossession consideration and advise Branch Manager.
• Coordinate with Remarketing for repossession documentation and information.
• Conduct occasional local visits when contact is unsuccessful and repossession is near.
