Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Liability Claim Representative II to handle property damage and low-to-mid range bodily injury claims, conducting investigations and coordinating with adjusters and vendors.

You will interact with field teams, legal counsel, and insurers, manage reserves, and monitor litigation to ensure compliant handling across jurisdictions. Travel 1–10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years’ casualty claims experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims and guides independent adjusters and vendors.
• Interacts with field operations, legal, safety, customers, carriers, and third parties.
• Manages litigation and identifies exposures with recommended solutions.
• Sets reserves to reflect probable ultimate payout based on file developments.
• Alerts management to changes in laws impacting the liability program.
