Job summary

AAA Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a skilled Auto Physical Damage Claims Estimator to assess vehicle damage, write repair estimates, and support claims processing in Santa Monica, CA. The role involves communicating with insureds, repair shops, and internal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation for settlement decisions.

The position requires strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, estimation software, and customer service capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years claims experience preferred.
• 4–6 years estimating experience preferred.
• Advanced understanding of automotive repair processes and estimating software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and technical software skills.
• Valid Driver's License and DMV record; minimum liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for vehicle repair compliant with guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, repair facilities and others about process, coverage or policy language.
• Provide clear documentation to support estimated damage with photos and descriptions.
• Negotiate within settlement authority to resolve claims.
• Coordinate with internal departments and respond quickly to inquiries.
• Assist with Catastrophe duties as required.
• Determine policy obligations by assessing damage and comparing to loss facts.
• Independently resolve claim exposures within authority.
