Job summary

AAA Auto Club Enterprises in California is seeking an Auto Physical Damage Claims Estimator to support the Auto Physical Damage Operation. You will analyze vehicle damage, write and review repair estimates, validate compliance, and determine repair costs.

You will communicate with members, vehicle owners, body shops and colleagues to explain the claim and repair process and resolve claims within authority. The role requires a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, familiarity with

Qualifications

• 4-6 years claims experience preferred
• 4-6 years estimating experience preferred
• Advanced understanding of automotive repair processes and estimating software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and estimating platforms (CCC Estimating Platform)
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills and customer service experience required
• Judgment and decision-making to resolve complex damage and repair cost issues
• Commitment to continuous education and flexibility for catastrophe duties

Responsibilities

• Utilize inspections to complete accurate, compliant estimates for vehicle repair.
• Explain the claim and repair process to insureds, claimants, repair facilities and staff.
• Provide documentation to support estimates with photos and detailed descriptions.
• Negotiate within settlement authority to resolve claims and costs.
• Coordinate with internal departments and respond to inquiries.
• Assist on catastrophe duties as required.
• Independently resolve claim exposures within authority.
