Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a Field Auto Physical Damage Appraiser to support the damage estimating process for insurance policies. The role involves inspecting vehicles, writing estimates, and communicating with insureds and shops to determine repair costs in compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities include documenting estimates, negotiating within authority, and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of automotive repair processes and damage assessment.
• 4-6 years claims experience preferred.
• 4-6 years estimating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of estimating software platforms (CCC Estimating Platform).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record; minimum liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform material damage assessments and write repair cost estimates compliant with guidelines and laws.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, repair facilities and internal staff about processes and costs.
• Explain claim and policy language as needed; provide documentation and photos to support estimates.
• Negotiate within authority to resolve claims and handle catastrophe duties as needed.
• Independently resolve claim exposures and determine policy obligations by loss comparison.
