First Chicago Insurance Company seeks an experienced Litigation Specialist to handle litigated and complex auto liability claims. The role requires reviewing coverage, drafting letters, and leading investigations with police reports, medical records, and appraisals.

You will manage litigation strategy with defense counsel and experts, maintain files, and ensure compliance with state regulations. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• College degree or 5 years of applicable claims adjusting experience.
• Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass written examinations to become a licensed claim adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigated and/or complex injury claims from Auto liability policies.
• Determine coverage and draft reservations of rights letters.
• Conduct investigations and secure statements, police reports, medical records and appraisals.
• Manage litigation strategy with defense counsel and experts.
• Maintain diaries and document all claim activity per regulations and company policy.
• Research and interpret case law, statutes, and coverage forms.
