Job summary

The Boyd Group Texarkana is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform meticulous vehicle repairs and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and realign vehicles while upholding our speed, quality and customer-excellence standards.

You must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and either formal technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school completion or a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Understanding of repair methods and tools used in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
