Gerber Collision & Glass in California is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and high-quality repairs, restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while supporting the company’s promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires performing body work with various tools, aligning frames, replacing parts, welding, and painting, while meeting KPI targets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of body repair methods and use of shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicles.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames for structural repair.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and fit parts; prep and repaint vehicles.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair for quality.
