Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician who ensures exceptional customer experiences through precise assessment and high-quality vehicle repair to restored pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, contributing to speed, quality, and customer excellence while aligning with KPI targets and acting as a Brand Ambassador.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and/or a technical program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage and applies filler resins as needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass as needed.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts and preps/paints vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
