Gerber Collision & Glass in Gig Harbor, WA is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver high-quality repairs and an exceptional customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, working with a team to meet KPI goals and uphold the brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; apply fillers if needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; prep and repaint vehicles to factory specifications or agreed equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
