Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Renton, WA is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by carefully assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble and contribute to speed, quality and customer excellence alongside a collaborative team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (trade school or a 3-year apprenticeship acceptable).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Strong ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan execution.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates using tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, pliers).
• Hammer out dents and use fillers as needed.
• Realign chassis and repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect vehicles post-repair.
