Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Charleston, SC is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver high-quality repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You’ll disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, and collaborate with teammates to meet speed, quality, and customer-experience goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship. You should be able to read shop orders, work with others, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repairs in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair dents, replace/repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles per specifications.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect repairs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
