Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is hiring an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with meticulous repairs and customer-focused service. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and align components while upholding speed, quality, and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship, and a Michigan Mechanics License. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship completed.
• Michigan Mechanics License required.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair dents and body damage using appropriate methods.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint to factory specs.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair for quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
