Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by accurately assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and align bodies while upholding speed, quality and customer service standards.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, use tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to restore vehicles, and ensure work orders stay within labor guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program OR 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in auto body shop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates; use tools to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory or agreed standards.
• Inspect finished work and ensure compliance with labor guidelines.
