Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, aligning with KPIs and brand standards to deliver fast, high-quality service.

The role requires reading job orders, working with teammates, and using a variety of repair tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins to repair dents when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair/replace glass and windshields as needed.
• Repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach/fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
