Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repairs, restoring pre-accident condition with attention to speed, quality and customer excellence. You will work with a team to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise of The Boyd Group.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and repair minor body damage; apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace/repair glass and windshields.
• Weld and fit parts; prep and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles post-repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
