Job summary

Precision Collision is hiring an Auto Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition using frame machines and OEM procedures. You will read estimates, communicate with management about delays, and work in a fast-paced shop environment with strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years collision repair experience or tech school/apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Able to read and work from job orders and estimates with little supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use a frame machine.
• I-CAR welding certification preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-production environment.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, crouch, and reach in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles according to the estimate and quality standards, including removing damaged parts and installing replacements.
• Restore body panels, structural components, and outer body parts to pre-accident condition using specialized tools and equipment.
• Communicate with management regarding additional repairs, potential delays, or changes to completion times.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and operate all equipment safely.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards at all times.
• Wear all required PPE, including eye protection.
• Assist team members with repair and vehicle preparation based on schedule and workload.
• Comply with all regulations governing body shop operations, including hazardous waste disposal.
