Gerber Collision & Glass in Hammond, IN seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver high-quality vehicle repairs and customer experiences. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and repaint vehicles, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality while adhering to WOW standards.

You will plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, and work with a team of technicians to meet KPIs. The role requires hands-on skills with body repair tools, safety awareness, and adaptability in a fast-paced shop

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and procedures.
• Proficient use of tools required for the trade.

Responsabilidades

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, then repaint with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
