Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous assessments and high-quality repairs, restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, collaborating with teammates to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other repairers within the shop.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods.
• Thorough understanding of tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan the repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Repair dents and body damage using sanding, fillers, and paints.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged parts and repair or replace glass as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, apply paint per factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
