Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Carrollton, TX is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with precise repairs and great attention to detail.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign frames, replace parts, weld, and paint to factory specs while delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and achieving KPIs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and how to use tools for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and repair minor damage; apply filler as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality and completeness.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
