Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver a superior customer experience by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure work aligns with KPIs while representing the brand with every interaction.

You will work with tools like plasma cutters and hydraulic jacks, realign chassis, replace parts, and repaint to factory standards. The role emphasizes safety, pace, and quality in a high-activity shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed to repair dents.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair/replace glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fasten parts; prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
