Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver quality repairs and an exceptional customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensure adherence to WOW standards, and collaborate with teammates to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, replacing parts, welding, repainting, and verifying work orders. A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with technical training or apprenticeship in auto body

Qualifications

• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mixes and applies filler resins.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections of vehicles and replaces with parts; repairs glass and windshields.
• Welds and attaches parts; prepares and repaints vehicles with factory paint.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects repaired vehicles.
