Gerber Collision & Glass in Addison, IL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle assessment and repair.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign chassis, replace parts, and uphold our brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. The role requires technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship and a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of repair methods and trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan execution.
• Plan repairs and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Repair dents and body damage; apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts; repaint vehicles to spec.
• Weld and fit parts; ensure work orders meet labor guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles post-repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
