Gerber Collision & Glass in Champaign, IL seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, upholding the brand's speed, quality, and customer excellence.

You will work with the team to meet KPIs, with ongoing responsibilities including estimating repair needs, using a range of repair tools, realigning frames, replacing parts, and ensuring thorough

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle sections using cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts, and repaint vehicles.
• Ensure work orders meet labor guidelines and inspect finished work.
