Gerber Collision & Glass in Dublin, OH is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver top-tier customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, using a range of tools to ensure speed, quality and safety.

The role emphasizes teamwork within a busy shop and adherence to KPI targets. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle sections using cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and fix glass as needed.
• Weld and attach parts, prep and repaint vehicles per factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
