Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Lawton, OK is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle repair and restoration to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles, using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers, while ensuring repairs meet factory specs and KPIs.

A high school diploma or technical training is required, with opportunities for growth within a long‑standing industry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and reapply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specifications.
