Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Fresno, CA is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and adherence to KPIs while acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, or completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass/windows.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specifications.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
