Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repairs to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, collaborating with teammates, maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence to uphold our brand promise.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and/or technical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and procedures for vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates; uses tools to repair sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new/aftermarket parts; replaces or repairs glass.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed.
• Welds and fits parts; prepares and repaints with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect after repair.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
