Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure repairs meet speed, quality, and customer-experience standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will work with a team to hit KPIs, follow the WOW plan, and uphold safety while using body repair tools. High school diploma or equivalent and formal training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies and use of trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using appropriate tools.
• Repair dents, dimples, and other damages with fillers when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as required.
• Weld and fit parts, then repaint to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished vehicles.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
