Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Columbus, MS to provide precise car body repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding speed, quality and customer-excellence standards.

You will work with a collaborative team, plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, and ensure each job meets KPIs. A high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship are preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders with minimal supervision.
• Work with other repairers to complete auto body repairs.
• Understand methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
• Know how to use trade tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of the WOW plan for repairs.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates using various tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers when needed to repair damages.
• Realign chassis/frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with parts and repair glass as required.
• Repair interior parts and perform welding as needed.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
