Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Columbus, MS to meticulously assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, use cutting tools and body shop equipment, weld and repaint as needed, and ensure all work meets labor time guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare estimates.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and repaint vehicles to factory specifications.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
