Job summary

The Boyd Group Fort Oglethorpe, GA is seeking an Auto Body Technician to meticulously assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble bodies, using cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers, while ensuring work aligns with our WOW plan and KPI targets.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Strong ability to read job orders and follow instructions.
• Ability to work with others in an auto body shop.
• Proficiency with common auto body repair tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Use tools to repair, replace parts, and refinish as needed.
• Ensure work meets quality and speed KPIs and inspect finished work.
• Adhere to safety procedures and shop standards.
