Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury claims by reviewing coverage, investigating liability, and evaluating damages. You will coordinate with insureds, clients, and brokers to ensure timely resolution.

Ideal candidates have five years of claims management experience with auto policies, strong communication skills, and familiarity with state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent education.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication and MS Office proficiency.
• State adjusting licenses required and maintained as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury, ensuring proper documentation.
• Responsible for the litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops action plans to meet state deadlines and move claims toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and broker as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality programs.
