Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation bodily injury claims. You will review coverages, conduct investigations, determine liability, and evaluate damages to ensure timely resolution in line with client requirements.

The ideal candidate has five years of claims management experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent with knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; professional certification may apply.
• Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills; PC literate with Microsoft Office; ability to work in a team environment.
• Secure and maintain required state adjusting licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process complex auto bodily injury and commercial claims with proper documentation and coding.
• Manage litigation processes on litigated claims.
• Coordinate vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Report large claims to excess carriers as required.
• Develop action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward timely resolution.
• Identify subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secure salvage as appropriate.
• Communicate claim actions with insured, client, and broker; maintain open dialogue.
• Support the organization's quality programs and perform other duties as assigned.
