Lebanon School District is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support students with daily learning and life-skills in classrooms, hallways, and common areas. You’ll provide respectful, confidential assistance to help students stay focused, feel safe, and participate in activities.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current child First Aid/CPR certification, and the ability to read, write, and understand English. Training in maintaining an ACCESS log is also required.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll do work that matters and sometimes in ways nobody else sees, but your student will never forget. You’ll be right there to help them stay focused in class, cheering them on as they tackle assignments and master new skills. When life’s basics get tough—like eating, dressing, or just feeling comfortable in their own skin—you’ll be the steady, respectful support that helps them through.
The work environment is active and people-focused. You’ll move throughout the school with your student, helping them in classrooms, hallways, and common areas. Each day brings new situations, so flexibility and patience are important. You’ll interact with teachers, staff, and sometimes families, always working to create a safe, supportive space for your student.
All required clearances must comply with the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s mandated criteria for hire.
Questions may be directed to Mrs. Rosely Marrero in the Human Resources Department at (717)-270-6874 or by emailing rmarrerosantana@lebanon.k12.pa.us.
