Job summary

Lebanon School District is seeking a paraprofessional to encourage learners, support teachers, and help students feel seen and capable in daily lessons.

You will bring patience, kindness, and a steady presence to a lively classroom, assisting with activities, guiding student progress, and fostering a welcoming environment for every child.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an associate degree, 48 college credits or pass PA Dept of Education approved test
• Background clearances: Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, IdentoGO FBI clearance
• Experience with children preferred, but not required
• Must read, write, speak and understand English fluently

Job description

As a paraprofessional, you’ll encourage young learners, support teachers, and help students feel seen and capable—whether you’re guiding them through a lesson or just offering a smile when they need it. You’ll bring patience, kindness, and a steady presence to every day.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an associate degree, 48 college credits or successfully pass a rigorous test approved by the PA Dept of Education
• The following background clearances are required: Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and IdentoGO FBI clearance
• Experience working with children preferred, but not required
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

Work environment:

The work environment is lively and hands-on. You’ll spend your day in classrooms and hallways always moving and interacting with students and staff. Flexibility is important—no two days are exactly the same. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, kindness, and making school a welcoming place for every child.
