Job summary

Lebanon School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers and help create a positive learning environment in classrooms and hallways, while keeping students engaged and safe throughout the day.

You will assist with lessons, encourage progress, and help ensure students feel seen and capable. Strong English communication is required and you will work closely with the Human Resources team and teachers.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or 48 college credits or pass PA Dept of Education approved test.
• Background clearances: Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and FBI clearance.
• Experience working with children preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and assist young learners in class.
• Encourage students and help create a welcoming classroom.
• Move between classrooms and hallways providing daily support.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an associate degree, 48 college credits or successfully pass a rigorous test approved by the PA Dept of Education
• The following background clearances are required: Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and IdentoGO FBI clearance
• Experience working with children preferred, but not required
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

The work environment is lively and hands-on. You’ll spend your day in classrooms and hallways always moving and interacting with students and staff.
