Job summary

Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking a Personal Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School for the 2026-2027 year.

The role works with students with special needs in Learning Support and supports other special education assignments, on-site, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The position is full-time and permanent, with starting wages of $16.69–$16.79 per hour, paid biweekly over 24 pays, and prorated for start date.

Qualifications

• Be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
• AND
• 1) Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study,
• OR
• 2) Possess an Associates degree or higher,
• OR
• 3) Complete a series of job-based trainings during the first year of employment, and continuing education credit hours during subsequent years

• Location: Washington Elementary School

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position ofPersonal Care Assistant atWashington Elementary School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position.

This assignment will work directly with students with special needs in a Learning Support classroom, and support other special education assignments as needed.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

190 days during the regular school year (summers, weekends and holidays off)

Rates:

Starting wages are either $16.69 per hour (approx. $22,197 annual) or $16.79 per hour (approx. $22,330 annual), for new hires to the District, depending upon previous school district experience.

This is a salaried position with a fixed per pay amount disbursed over 24 pays September through August.

The annual salary and payroll disbursements will be prorated based on start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be eligible for special education support positions, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a high school graduate or possess a GED,
• AND

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

In order to be eligible for employment, the following clearances must be furnished and approved for hire at time of job offer:

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
• FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)

The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:

• Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting
• Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
• School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
