Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, and to minimize challenging behaviors.

You will be trained and empowered to help each child reach their potential, with a focus on safety, patience, and teamwork. The role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Move and assist children up to 50 pounds as needed.
