Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Behavioral Caregiver to support children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors in home and community settings. You will work closely with the BCBA to implement care plans, monitor progress, and adapt activities to each client’s needs.

Responsibilities include one-to-one intervention, daily living support, communication and social engagement, and assisting family members in maintaining routines and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Current in-person CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Children.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services as instructed by Clinical Leadership and based on individual treatment plans.
• Implement the goals/objectives defined in the treatment plan.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, behavior, and crisis intervention.

Behavioral Caregiver's at Maxim Healthcare Services provide support and caregiving needs for children and adults with developmental delays and/or challenging behaviors. Behavioral Technician's work closely with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement the behavioral care plan and keep track of the clients’ progress through each session. As well as assisting family members on maintaining the client in his/her home by relieving the family members from basic self-help needs and other activities of daily living including interaction, socialization, and continuation of daily routines.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides one-to-one behavior intervention services to individual clients as instructed by Clinical Leadership and based on individual treatment plans
• Implements the goals/objectives for an individual as defined in the treatment plan
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, behavior, and crisis intervention
• Assists client with personal care activities
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
