Job summary

Maxim Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental challenges. You will support social and communication skills and document progress under BCBA guidance.

The position offers competitive hourly pay ($23-$27), weekly pay, benefits, and training provided, with morning/afternoon/evening hours available to fit schedules.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of 40-hour ABA Training or training provided
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• 18 years of age or older
• Completion of college coursework or related experience in psychology/education/behavioral science

Responsibilities

• Help individuals work on social and communication skills and reduce challenging behaviors
• Document progress and milestones
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Document child progress and milestones
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and adults with special needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of 40-hour and ABA Training. Training provided, must be completed prior to providing service.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Current PPD or Chest X Ray
• Ability to effectively elicit/ provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients)
• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
