Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher for the STAIRS classroom in the Homestead area. You will plan and deliver individualized instruction for students in grades 1–12 with autism and high support needs, while coordinating with support staff and families.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and PA Special Education certification, with 5–7 years in SPED and 3+ years in autism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and PA Special Education certification required.
• 5-7 years of SPED experience and 3+ years of autism experience required.
• Experience developing, leading, and monitoring IEPs with measurable goals across domains.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction with measurable goals and progress assessment.
• Deliver instruction and establish a supportive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide guidance for support staff.
• Collaborate with Day Academy and STAIRS team for ASD/IDD students.
• Maintain attendance and complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate student progress with families and school districts.
• Participate in trainings and pursue ongoing professional growth.
